Therapy for Children, Teens & Families
Helping you feel more connected, confident, and supported.
A Place to Feel Seen, Heard & Supported
A Warm, Judgment-Free Space
I provide compassionate, relationship-centered therapy for children, teens, women, and families in Winter Park and the surrounding Orlando area.
Whether your child is struggling with anxiety, big emotions, emotional regulation, perfectionism, or difficult experiences, or you’re an overwhelmed mom navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationships, or the demands of motherhood, therapy can provide a safe place to slow down, feel understood, and create meaningful change.
Meet You Where You Are
Every person and family brings a unique story to therapy. I take a personalized, developmentally appropriate approach based on your needs, goals, and stage of life. For children, therapy may look like play, creativity, movement, and connection. For teens and adults, it may involve exploring emotions, relationships, attachment patterns, trauma, anxiety, and the ways you’ve learned to cope.
Connection Matters
I believe meaningful change begins with feeling safe, seen, and understood. For children and teens, building trust is especially important. Through Child-Centered Play Therapy and family-focused work, I help children develop emotional regulation, confidence, communication skills, and healthier connections with their caregivers.
For women and moms, therapy can be a space to step out of the cycle of perfectionism, people-pleasing, anxiety, and overwhelm and begin reconnecting with yourself.
More Than Just Talking
Different concerns require different approaches. I integrate Child-Centered Play Therapy, EMDR, CBT, IFS-informed therapy, somatic approaches, and attachment-based therapy to help children, teens, adults, and families process difficult experiences and develop lasting emotional wellness.
Whether you’re looking for a child therapist in Winter Park, a play therapist for your child, EMDR therapy, anxiety therapy, or support navigating motherhood and life transitions, Magnolia Counseling & Wellness offers a warm, personalized space to begin.
About Angela Repella, LMHC
I help anxious, overwhelmed children and teens feel more confident, regulated, and understood while also helping parents know what to do next.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that people heal through safe, meaningful connection. Whether I'm working with a child who doesn't yet have the words for what they're feeling, a teenager navigating anxiety and self-pressure, or an adult who has spent years putting everyone else first, my goal is to help each person feel understood and supported.
With over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families, I integrate approaches such as Play Therapy, EMDR, and attachment-focused therapy to meet each client where they are.
Services
-
Individual therapy provides a one-on-one space for children, adolescents, or adults to process emotions, build coping skills, and navigate life’s challenges. Sessions are tailored to each client’s unique needs, whether they are experiencing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, or relational difficulties.
-
Family therapy focuses on strengthening relationships and improving communication within the family system. Together, we explore patterns, increase understanding, and create a more connected, supportive home environment where each family member feels heard and valued.
-
Play therapy allows children to express thoughts and emotions in a way that feels natural to them—through play. Using developmentally appropriate techniques, I help children process experiences, regulate emotions, and build confidence in a safe and nurturing space.
-
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps clients process and heal from distressing or traumatic experiences. This approach supports the brain in reprocessing memories so they feel less overwhelming, allowing clients to move forward with greater ease and resilience.
-
I provide mental health presentations and workshops for schools, parent groups, wellness organizations, and community events. Topics include anxiety, emotional regulation, parenting, attachment, trauma-informed care, and adolescent mental health. Presentations are warm, engaging, and tailored to the needs of each audience.
